Sustainability Impacts is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to accelerating sustainable development in the Global South. We are committed to empowering local communities through collaboration with the public and private sectors. Together, we implement impactful sustainability initiatives that address environmental, social, and economic challenges, fostering a sense of shared responsibility.
About Us
The Sustainability Impacts (SIMS) was founded to address the multifaceted challenges of sustainable development in the Global South. Our inception was driven by the pressing need to empower local communities through collaborative efforts with the public and private sectors. Recognising the critical intersections of environmental, social, and economic issues, SIMS was established to foster impactful sustainability initiatives that can make a real difference.
We are inspired by the vision of a world where sustainable development is not just an ideal but a tangible reality. We constantly experience the disproportionate effects of environmental degradation and socio-economic inequity on vulnerable communities in the Global South, and that is why we are a good force in addressing these challenges. By leveraging our expertise and networks, they aimed to create an organisation that not only contributes to addressing these challenges but also promotes long-term resilience and growth.
Our mission is to accelerate sustainable development by implementing solutions that are locally relevant and globally significant. We believe in the power of community-driven projects, innovative partnerships, and strategic interventions to bring about positive change. Through our dedicated efforts, we aspire to build a more equitable and sustainable future for all, especially for the global south.

What We Do
At Sustainability Impacts, we are dedicated to accelerating sustainable development in the Global South through a multifaceted approach:
- Science-Based Research on Sustainability: We conduct rigorous, science-based research to develop innovative solutions for sustainability challenges. Our research aims to provide a solid foundation for policies and practices that promote environmental, social, and economic well-being.
- Publication Sharing knowledge is crucial for driving change. We publish our findings in accessible formats to inform and inspire stakeholders, policymakers, and the broader public. Our publications highlight best practices, case studies, and cutting-edge research in sustainability.
- Collaborating with Public and Private Sector Entities Collaboration is at the heart of our work. We partner with a diverse range of public and private sector entities to co-create and implement sustainability initiatives. By leveraging our partners' strengths and resources, we enable impactful and scalable solutions that address local and global sustainability challenges.
- Organising Events on Sustainability: We organise events that bring together thought leaders, practitioners, and community members to discuss, learn, and innovate around sustainability. Our events serve as platforms for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and creating actionable plans to advance sustainable development.

Sustainability Impacts is a non-profit association under the French Loi de 1901.
Financing
Our funding comes from diverse sources, including government subsidies, donations, sponsorships, research grants, event fees, and individual and corporate memberships.
